The film takes place in a small town, where the mayor decrees that almost every day is Sunday, which becomes a problem to some of it's citizens, who need city hall bureaucracy, being unable to fulfill their demands.

Although Tom Leezak and Sarah McNerney come from different worlds, they are both unexpectedly swept off their feet after their first meeting. They quickly fall in love and plan to get married, despite opposition from Sarah's uptight, rich family.
