The Penguin Dad

Sabina has traveled from Romania to the small Swedish town Holmsund with her Roma brothers. They work in a garage and Sabina is looking for a job. Elin, born and raised in Holmsund, is in the church singing at the graduation ceremony. A summer is about to start and Sabina will get to know Elin. Together they will revolt against the old ways and find something new in each other. At the same time the society around them collapses in fear and Elin’s dad becomes insane by sorrow. Because there is a madness in the Swedish idyll.

Josefin has installed the fattest bass box in her EPA and rolls out to impress her crush, Billy. But when the subculture with the thundering bass passages meets a sound-sensitive adult world with sleep problems, it goes haywire and degenerates into blood whiteness.

A new substitute teacher attempts to teach a class of 7th graders in a Swedish school. The class gives her a hard time, provoking her until she can no longer control her outrage.

As a newly graduated school nurse, Sara, finds herself in a power struggle in the nurse office with a sixteen year old boy. They meet later by coincidence at a thaiboxing try out and the power struggle becomes physical.

It's midsummer. A guy has ghosted Jana, and Philip has been dumped in a city unknown to him. They match and decide to see each other.
