El futuro ya pasó

Pablo is a man with a natural ability for business. Early in his life, Pablo is introduced to the business of cocaine and the power it yields. A young life of crime lands Pablo in and out of jail as he builds his criminal empire. Pablo expands his power through politics but it is not long before his conflicts as a Congressman and a drug lord collide. Pablo has his enemies executed, but not before the United States activates its own war on the Medellin cartel.

Waldina, the flowers seller of the little town of Arcabuco, has died. Her son Humberto arrives from the big city and decides to make the last delivery of flowers to her clients without knowing that in one of that doors could find his happiness.

The candidates Sandro Archila and Camilo Hernández, face each other to define who will be the next delegate in charge of the election, classification and programming of dance numbers of the local faire. After the public vote and after the private counting of the votes in the local primary school, the delegate of the vote together with the two candidates accompanied by their campaign teams, confirm that the result of the vote is a draw. With no time for another voting process they will have to find another way to elect the delegate.

Luis Alberto Gaitán "Lunga" was a photographer from Guateque, Boyacá. He is the author of the most iconic pictures of the Colombian political leader Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, assassinated in 1948, giving birth to one of the cruellest waves of violence in the country. Since ever, Lunga's photographs have been reproduced over and over again without the proper credits. This film is a trip to the 40's and 50's Colombia's decades and it wants to give to Lunga the recognition of his work and his name in the history of Colombia as a photographer.
