Gender of Clothes

A personal exploration of how the panic of an entire population could have been placed into one specific individual, within the context of communist Romania.

One person with a strange condition, multiple inappropriate therapy techniques, and an indefinite number of rapidly spreading post-it notes. That’s just K’s reality, a young adult who’s leaving a trail of yellow post-its wherever they go. In a desperate attempt to get some sort of medication for this “disease”, K goes through an ordeal of psychiatrist appointments only to discover the unpleasant and unwelcome surprises.

The interconnection between the philosophical film body and the trans human body is explored through the film’s materiality and the use of analogue techniques. In a deeply personal investigation, parallels are drawn between the procedures both bodies must undertake to reach their final form.
