In a remote mountain village, young Miša lives with his father and grandmother, harboring a secret talent and dream of becoming a violinist despite the harsh realities around him. When he reconnects with childhood friend Ema, her encouragement helps him realize the power of perseverance and the importance of following one’s dreams against all odds.

She could do the responsible thing. Or she could go to Ibiza with her best friends to chase down a hot DJ. Easy choice.

A story that follows three generations of a rich Serbian Christian family in the 19th century in the north of the then Ottoman Empire in the city of Vranje, who are fighting for survival through various moral crises, facing decline. Forbidden love, intrigue, murder, arranged marriages, revenge, friendship and enmity between Serbs, Albanians and Turks and the endangered position of women at that time

Through the intimate stories of seven young directors, October is the generational attitude towards Serbia today, shown in different perspectives and through different genres - from black comedy to melodrama, poetic portrait to the socially engaged horror. Motif that binds all of the stories together is the tenth anniversary of the democratic revolution. Each film is taking place on that day, 5th of October in 2010, and each film is differently related to the anniversary and what that event means 10 years after. The film brings fresh visions of the seven young directors who were teenagers at the time of the overthrow of president Milosevic and his regime. On a personal and emotional way they show a complex picture of modern Serbia.
