The arrival of an intimate letter prompts a young woman to bring her mother on vacation to a small Japanese town, where someone special resides.

Young-ho, an Ethnic-Korean living in Japan, decides to close the pachinko parlor that he has operated with his mother Kyung-ja for 50 years along National Route 7 in Akita Prefecture, Japan. When he invites his mother on an overseas trip to celebrate her retirement, she expresses her desire to visit Niigata instead of going abroad.

A young Korean man who has lived in Japan for a long time returns to Korea and experiences an identity crisis. Through a series of romantic relationships, he eventually finds himself.

Jeong-hwa, a Korean-Chinese woman who works at a restaurant in South Korea, receives her monthly paycheck, but the envelope contains more money than usual. At first, she is happy about it, believing that her hard work is finally being recognized. But then she finds out that the envelope wasn’t meant for her.

Rie, from Japan, visits Gunsan in Korea to deliver a letter her grandfather never sent. With the help of a local young man named Minwoo, she tracks down the letter’s recipient, while at the same time learning about the role her grandfather played during the Japanese colonial occupation of Korea.
