The journey breaks down, but the soul moves forward

Rian, a university student from Lampung, sets out on a journey to his campus in Bandung. He travels in a shared car with three other passengers. Conflict arises when the car breaks down and the driver is unable to fix it, causing some of the passengers to grow frustrated and angry. Amid the tension and uncertainty, they begin to open up to each other—sharing their backgrounds and the personal struggles they face. Through this unexpected moment of connection, they come to a new realization: “mangkat” (to depart) is not just about a physical journey, but about the courage to face life itself. Eventually, they manage to repair the car and continue their journey.

Synopsis Alex (22/M) lives with his uncle in a house. He has a history of PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). One day, his uncle disappears without any explanation, leaving Alex confused and uncertain about what to do. Trying to cope with the situation, he begins writing a book titled *Shadow I Wrote*. Unbeknownst to him, Aldo (22/M) — a character from his book — exists in real life. Aldo starts to feel that something is controlling his life, as he experiences a strange sense of being trapped in a time loop. Confused by what’s happening, he begins to question his own reality, and it turns out that he also suffers from PTSD, just like Alex. In his search for the one controlling his life, Aldo eventually encounters Alex. However, the meeting was deliberately planned by Alex, who intends to kill Aldo, believing that by doing so, he can silence the turmoil inside his mind.
