Inspired by the works of portuguese artist Julião Sarmento, this is a movie about the self and the other. About the reflection and obsession on the human condition that is us.

In a contemporary world full of information and constant stimulation, we wonder into thoughts and sensations when we have the chance to stop.

Suffocated by the constant stimuli of everyday life, Mar decides to travel to her grandparents' village in northern Portugal. Upon arriving, she finds Amparo and feelings start to develop as they find comfort in their differences. A story that explores the insatiable and constant search for purpose.

In a secluded female sanctuary, two expectant mothers prepare to welcome new life under the guidance of an ancient sisterhood. As sacred rituals blur the boundaries between love, motherhood, and sacrifice, they are forced to confront the fragile balance between creation and loss.

The countdown against her body has begun. Despite fatigue and coordination problems, she refuses to give up her passion. Her husband, Igor, watches Diana's progress with concern and tries to make her understand the importance of dealing with the disease and making changes in her life. Terrified, feeling guilty and unable to accept her new reality, she ignores all the hands reaching out to help her and makes a superhuman effort to remain independent.

Women of the Revolution is a film that celebrates the multitude of revolutionary women: the mothers of our democracy. Through the voice, gaze, silence, and actions of each of these women, we learn about the richness of their experiences, which together give us a legacy of trust, justice, perseverance, respect, and freedom. These are women who defeated fascism, colonialism, and social inequalities in Portugal and the occupied African territories and transformed the world around them.
