Max Underly, Slim's rival for the affections of Bess Livingston, has Slim unjustly accused of cattle rustling. Since the accusation does not deter Slim, Max and his men ambush him at night, wounding him in the arm. Slim eventually defeats Max and wins the affections of Bess.

Silas Warner, Jr., is the playboy son of a wealthy New York financier. When Silas’s brother, Archie, commits a near-theft, Silas nobly takes the blame. Disinherited by his father, Silas travels West to start a new life in a mining town. Once there, he is inducted into a local fraternity of fortune seekers known as the "Ornery and Worthless Men of the World". A series of events leads to a compromising situation that forces Silas to marry Sally. The film blends Western themes with comedic and dramatic elements as Silas navigates his new life and marriage.

Yak arrives at the Gilmore ranch where rustling has occurred. Gilmore blames a wild horse when it is actually his foreman Mays. After Yak catches and tames the wild horse, Mays gets Yak out of the way by having him arrested for murder. Mays and his men can now make one last raid.

Heroic Officer 444 battles The Frog and his criminal gang for possession of Haverlyte, a powerful formula that, if it fell into the wrong hands, would give its owner enough power to control the world. And, taking no chances, The Frog sends his chief henchwoman, a seductive vamp named The Vulture, to tempt Officer 444 to stray from his sworn duty to save the world from The Frog's nefarious plans.

A cowboy is falsely accused of killing the local sheriff. Fleeing the law, Wilson obtains a job on a ranch.

Nerve lands "Rainbow" Riley a job as cub reporter on the Louisville Ledger. His first big assignment is to cover a feud in the Kentucky mountains between the Ripper and White clans. Thinking that the assignment is in the nature of a vacation, "Rainbow" provides himself with athletic equipment.

Horses are being rustled by outlaws known as the Hell Hounds. When the Sheriff is killed, his Deputy Yak takes over the search for the rustlers. John Lawson says Yak cannot marry his daughter until the murderer of the Sheriff is caught. But unknown to Lawson, the murderer is his own son.

Rene, condemned to execution for murder in the first degree tells his mother the story of the crime. His sister had been lured from home and abandoned by the villain. Desolate at first after some time she married a man who became governor but when the villain shows up again and threatens her happiness Rene kills him.

Sheriff Jefferson Mosby is sent to Cactus Flats, Nevada, to combat outlaws harassing local homesteaders. After discovering the town's mayor is leading the criminals, Mosby uses disguises to infiltrate the gang, capture them, and restore order with the help of residents Molly and Danny.

Jim Marlow's brother, Chet, who has come west to manage the family mining properties, cheats Pete Daley out of his property. Pete enters Chet's office at night and robs the safe, being seen in the act by Tom Crowley. Pete hides the strongbox and sends a letter to his daughter, Marion, stating its location. Jim gets the letter and finds the strongbox, running afoul of Crowley, who shoots him. The sheriff arrests Jim for stealing the box, and Crowley attempts to take the box from the sheriff at gunpoint. The sheriff shoots Crowley, and Crowley, mortally wounded, tells the sheriff that Pete Daley was the man responsible for the original theft of the box. A lawyer who has been investigating Chet discovers that he has cheated Jim out of the substantial part of his rightful inheritance; Chet is sent to jail, and Jim settles down with Marion Daley.

Nate “Hate” Hammond is in business with his father and much sought after by mothers in the city who have marriageable daughters. Their quest is fruitless though since “Hate” has already made his choice secretly. His father is duped into participating in a financial scandal by clever crooks, and the one girl “Hate” believed would understand refuses to see him. Heading West, he eventually finds both gold and the girl, who now knowing the truth is extremely glad to be reunited with a rugged, brave lover.

The foreman of a ranch owned by a pretty young girl captures a herd of wild horses, but the herd's lead horse manages to break them free. The foreman blames a drifting cowboy, Yak, for the break-out. Yak, however, seems intent on provoking a confrontation with the foreman at every opportunity--and, as it turns out, for good reason.
