Four years after the events of Halloween in 2018, Laurie has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. An elderly Nagasaki hibakusha spends a summer caring for her four grandchildren, whose curiosity about the 1945 bombing stirs buried memories and moral questions.
