When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism that he sees amongst everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but it is a frustrating struggle. When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus' help to learn the meaning of Christmas.

After their humiliating 999th defeat, Charlie Brown's whole baseball team quits on him. When the gang loses patience with Snoopy's mischief, he suddenly finds himself back in obedience training. With a vengeance, Snoopy decides it's time to run away to Peppermint Patty's house, but soon realizes life might not be so bad with Charlie Brown after all.

At camp, the boys find themselves consistently losing games to the girls. But their fortunes may change when Snoopy assumes the role of The Masked Marvel, potentially turning the tide in their favor.

Through Lucy's meddling, Schroeder, the gifted pianist, is booked to play his toy piano for the P.T.A., though the audience may be expecting a rock concert from a boy who is strictly a Beethoven fan.

For his school Homecoming, Charlie Brown is told that he will be escorting the Homecoming Queen to the dance, and is supposed to give her a traditional kiss. When he learns that the Homecoming Queen is the red-headed girl that he has pined for all his life, he really hopes to put in a good showing at the football game where he is the kicker. Unfortunately, Lucy will be holding the ball for him...
