A humble car mechanic decides to give his son, who has brought home an excellent school report, a golden watch. Unfortunately the jewellery shop where they go and buy the watch is held up and the boy gets killed. The man spends the rest of the movie trying to take his revenge...

This is the point that allows the ambitious Frank to muscle in on Erik's mob, and his moll, Lucie. Frank's first move is to hire outside pros, and shoot up a casino of Big John's, challenging the entire syndicate. Erik, meanwhile, harbors feelings of revenge.

One night the three convicts are mysteriously released by a priest and the father of the Mexican boy who promises them a reward of $30,000 if they can find the real murderer within ten days.
