The balaguer and merrymaker Vasya the midwife, a favorite of the village, got his nickname because he often told a story of the war years, at which everyone laughed. One day, his former commander showed up in the village.

Fitil is a popular Soviet/Russian television satirical/comedy short film series which ran for about 500 episodes. Some of the episodes were aimed at children, and were called Фитилёк, Fitilyok, Little Fuse. Each issue contained from the few short segments: documentary, fictional and animated ones. Directed by various artists, including Leonid Gaidai who presented his famous trio of Nikulin, Vitsin and Morgunov into the cast. It was called in USSR as "the anecdotes from the Soviet government".

Two Cossack brothers and their elderly father fight for the Bolsheviks, but when only Ignat and his father return to their White-held stanitsa, their third brother betrays them, sealing their fate by handing them over for execution. (2) “Chervotočina”. Idealistic Stepan joins the Komsomol against his wealthy Cossack family’s wishes, but when two oxen he lends to a poor neighbor vanish, his enraged father and brother beat both Stepan and the neighbor to death. (3) “Prodkomissar”. Commissar Ignat Bodiagin is charged with requisitioning grain for the Red Army, only to find his own father condemned for hoarding; he must preside over his execution and soon dies himself leading the resisting Cossacks away from the grain convoy.

And now the young "patriots" punish peers-"dissidents", joining the ranks of the "pioneer-jugend." And an ordinary school laboratory turns into a place for torture...

The famous artist Vladimir Beletsky stole two valuable paintings from the museum, replacing them with his copies. He was forced to take this step by the extreme circumstances in which his son found himself. Having contacted a suspicious company, the son was deceived and is now forced to pay a large sum of money to scammers. Beletsky invents a reciprocal fraud in order to avenge his son’s offenders.

Roman Lebedichkin, a founder of a big and successful company, is surprised to found out that he's not so welcomed by previous partners after he gets released from jail.
