Narrator of the story: A villager dumbly recalled that in 1974, China was in the late stage of the Cultural Revolution, a series of past events in a village. The Xiangyuan family suddenly caught fire and his wife was burned.

Tulan girls Xilan and Suzi fell in love with a man named Hou Xihui. They both came to Chongqing in order to find him. In this city, Hou Xihui disappeared like a wind. However, the two girls did not want to give up, they decided to stay in the city trying to find the man.

Three young town electricity workers face their first powerline inspection jobs. Haunted by the disappearance of their former station chief during a snowstorm five years ago, they overcome fear with help from a local elder: mount horses and resume patrolling to safeguard village life.
