With broad strokes of the brush, humor and friendships, he brings life to the windows of Montreal, embellishes the hearts of merchants and the souls of passers-by. Painter-poster artist – an endangered profession – Claude Dolbec chose the margins to better rediscover his fellow human beings and a sense of beauty. Every year, hundreds of bushcutters go up into the woods all over Quebec to carry out forestry work. Since the 2000s, more than 80% of loggers have come from Africa.

50 tons of spruce, a film to discover an unknown trade, while the Quebec forestry industry is on the verge of crisis. A film to get to know men who earn their living by risking it, because the forest has always been part of them.

L'HOMME DE L'ISLE is a film that offers a look at an island hunting guide and the power of his universe. It depicts a long and beautiful relationship between Gilles Gagné, a man of earthly intelligence and sensitivity, and a great Master...Jean-Paul Riopelle. Together, he hunts, he sips and above all he discusses. While one rediscovers the beauty of his world on Isle aux Oyes, the other draws inspiration from it to create works of art.

Five hours from Montreal, at the end of an endless road, is a lake, a favorite haunt of northern ospreys. The Lac Villiers Foundation, managed by a small family whose destiny is punctuated by the peace of the immensity of the boreal and by the demands of a life on the fringes of civilization, has set up its quarters there. This film plunges into his world and shares his way of life which, like ospreys, is on the verge of extinction.
