The Lights of Kolchis

The film tells about the battles of the young patriots left in Simferopol occupied by the fascists and the heroic death of the Georgian girl, Zoya Rukhadze. After a number of successful operations, the fascists search and arrest everyone named Zoya. According to the decision of the illegal center, Zoya has to leave the city, but she cannot come to terms with the idea that innocent girls are being tortured by the Gestapo because of her.

The film describes the hard life of shepherds. Giorgi loves Nino, but the woman is charmed by the newly appointed head worker in the district, Levan. Careerist Levan does not take into account the experience of shepherds and commints many evils to realize his goals.

In the mountains of the Caucasus, a large supply of the much-needed ore - andesite has been discovered. To get it quickly, the leadership decides to blow up Arshaula mountain. But the mountain is considered "sacred" and, according to believers, is inviolable. The kulaks try to prevent andesite mining and spread rumors about the family of its head, Levan, and drag his wife, father-in-law, Berdia into the conflict and recruit them to their side. At the village meeting, it will finally be decided to blow up the mountain. The village will move to a new place, but Berdia continues to resist. Mojagire's purchase exposes him, which is why Birdia decides to kill him. Before the explosion, he goes to collect loot hidden in a tower near the mountain and takes the purchase with him. He finds himself trapped in the purchased tower and dies in the explosion. A horse loaded with property is in the hands of the militia, its owner is recognized and Berdia is arrested.

Joto is a famous doctor in one of the villages of Abkhazia, although he hastened the lives of many sick people with his ignorance. After Joto's next victim, the village communes and the village council decide to build a hospital. Joto is against that idea, but his child's injury will make him change opinion.

Nodar, the man with a fickle character, leaves his wife and children in the village and goes to Kutaisi in search of his fortune. His friend Givi advises Nodar to return to his family, but Nodar wants to live in the city and will start working as a manager of a car factory dancer's circle.

Returning from the army, Pierre starts working for the police. Before joining the army, he loved his neighbor Tina, who moved to another city. One day a house is being broken into and Pierre is wounded by criminals.

Along the way, the soldiers stop at a half-ruined ancient castle. There, a grey-haired old man recounts the legend of Dzhurga, a valiant warrior who once lived there. The legend comes to life on the screen, depicting a wedding feast in the castle where Dzhurgai celebrates his union with a shepherdess. However, the festivities are interrupted by a foreign enemy attacking Georgia. Led by Dzhurgai, Georgian warriors fight bravely and emerge victorious against the Mongol hordes.

Famous mountaineers Simon and Alexandra Lomidze were tragically caught in an avalanche while climbing Tetnuldi. The avalanche swept Simon and his friend into the abyss, leaving Simon’s younger brother, Alyosha, deeply inspired by the diary entries of his deceased brother. Alyosha, who had never been particularly fond of mountaineering, was determined to conquer Tetnuldi in his brother’s memory. This inspired a series of expeditions to conquer other peaks, including Ushba, Shkheldi, and many more. The following mountaineers participated in these expeditions: M. Anuprikov, I. Arkin, G. Akhvlediani, G. Gulbani, G. Deberli, P. Khazarov, I. Lapshenikov, I. Nemsitsveridze, V. Mukhin, and G. Khutsishvili.

In Arabic, “mameluke” means a white slave, a prisoner. In Egypt, this name was given to prisoners of war who had been sold into slavery from Georgia and other countries of the Caucasus. The action of this drama starts in Georgia in the late 18th century. Two friends are abducted and sold into slavery. One ends up in Egypt, the other - in Venice. Years later, they meet by the ancient pyramids, in the desert where a battle is going on between the armies of Bonaparte and Ali-bey, the ruler of Egypt. In a combat with a French officer, the Mameluke injures him. Falling from his horse onto the sand, the officer exclaims in Georgian: “Vai, nana!” (“Oh, mother!”). And the Mameluke recognizes in him a mate of his childhood games.

A Soviet drama about class differences in a rural farm town

After the army, Emzar returns to Inguri. Gual, the top lumberjack, cuts young trees to surpass plans. Tamara, secretly in love with Gual, exposes his methods, straining his friendship with Emzar. At a festival, Emzar wins a horse race and Manol, Gual’s love, announces her marriage to Emzar. A year later, Gual is sullen. During a storm, he cuts young trees, pushing Emzar into a ravine. Manol goes into labour, and Gual carries her to the hospital, where she gives birth to a boy. He then rescues Emzar and brings him to the village, where Tamara meets him.
