A London Times reporter and his inseparable photographer and friend are investigating a number of mysterious cases only to find themselves involved in a bloody mission full of mysteries, plots, and paranormal phenomena.

In the countryside around Norbello, a town in central Sardinia, a series of murders of young women is the focus of an investigation led by Anna Carreras, an inspector with the Violent Crime Analysis Unit who is not one to follow the rules. Working alongside her is a rookie inspector, Fiorenzo Vargas, who helps her unravel a bloody mystery in which one of the victims is Claudia Carreras, the young inspector’s sister. How many rules will Anna be willing to break to catch the culprit?
