The film is based on historical events that took place in the 6th century at the junction of three great powers: The Turkish Khagan, The Byzantine Empire and The Sasanian Empire.

At the ninth grader, Anvar, it would seem, everything is safe both in the family and at school. But the boy did not find a common language with his father, and an unclean person took advantage of this. Anwar, involved in extortion, could not reconcile his conscience with a dirty deed. Only the tragic death of the boy revealed the criminal.

A lyrical film story about how a helpless foal named Almaz was raised by a boy named Murat into a magnificent racehorse, which was once taken to the city for the racetrack. Seeing how cruel the jockey was to Almaz, Murat secretly takes his friend back to their native mountain pasture at night.

The second film from the Call of the Ancestors dilogy. The film tells about a dramatic episode of the struggle of the Central Asian state of Sogdiana against the Arab troops camped at the walls of Samarkand at the beginning of the 8th century.
