The things that stand the test of time

Anaklia, a newly built city overlooking the Black Sea at the border with Abkhazia, a formally independent region since 1999, was supposed to become one of Georgia’s top tourist resorts. Visitors, however, are welcomed by a scenery that strays from the city-resort imagery.

Dante Balbo’s poetic phrasing invites us to imagine the world as he – blind from birth – experiences it. His gentle voice guides us through the undulating dance of light and sound vibrations that populate his mental images. Could it be that we, who think we see everything, actually perceive only a grain of sand in the vastness of the infinite landscape?

Danilo guides us through his vision of the landscape, taking us by the hand into his world of diversity, color, and brightness.

After noticing that an A.I. generative model modifies her self-portraits with unattainable and unsolicited beauty standards, E. starts a conversation with DonnerBot, a chatbot that claims to provide a real solution to solitude. DonnerBot introduces her to a self-help manual, which transports E. into a world rejecting the ugly, the imperfect, and perhaps thus everything that makes us humans.
