Peter the First, Part II

Sofia, Bulgaria during World War II - Pesho, a poor boy from a working class family, falls in love with Violeta, a rich girl.

The film is about the struggle of Czechoslovak patriots against the Nazi invaders during the years of fascist occupation. The plot of the film is based on actual events that were reported after that time.

The bank is preparing to solemnly celebrate the 15th anniversary of the institution. And at that moment, two events took place that turned everything upside down.

Young Polya comes to Moscow: she wants to find her father, Professor Vikhrov, and try to understand why her mother broke up with him. Vikhrov is a prominent scientist who has defended the forest from barbaric destruction all his life. The war begins. Professor Vikhrov continues to lecture, proving to students the need to protect the forest. Polya is trying to find out the reasons for the long-standing feud between her father and academician Gratsianskiy. Now, when Vikhrov is already not young and lonely, the professor mentally returns to the past.

1896. The regiment, stationed in a small town, is bored, drunk, languishing in soullessness. Lieutenant Romashov falls in love with the captain's wife Shurochka. Society is abuzz on the subject. A quarrel arises between the captain and the lieutenant.

A story based on a classic play by Alexander Ostrovsky. The famous actress Kruchinina graciously agrees to tour in a town with which she has heavy memories, and finds there a son, left by her due to circumstances many years ago. He has become embittered from his hard childhood, youth and young adulthood an insignificant and drinking like everyone else, an actor in the local provincial theater.

The story is set in the 1800s.Elena and Inzarov,a revolutionary Bulgarian ,fall in love.After secretly marrying they decide to join the liberation, but on the eve of departure Dmitry dies. Elena takes Inzarov's body to the Balkans .

Vetlugin, a worker at a Ural factory, becomes a member of the Moscow soccer team "Turbina". The captain and center forward Vitaly Grinko, known to the whole country, is jealous of the newcomer and tries to defame the simple-minded player. The whole team takes the side of the newcomer, criticizes the captain's behavior, and wins in the game with a foreign team.

In the middle of the 17th century, Ukrainian peasants and Cossacks rose up to fight against the Polish gentry rule. About the events of the National Liberation War in Ukraine under the leadership of Bohdan Khmelnitsky, who with a firm hand led the insurgent masses to an alliance with Russia.

Khlestakov is a young flamboyant crook, who is broke. He finds himself in a small Russian town, where local authorities are waiting for an undercover inspector from the capital St. Petersburg. Khlestakov is mistaken for an undercover inspector, and uses the situation for taking bribes from the local governor and flirting with both his wife and daughter. He abuses the corruption and hypocrisy of the local authorities until, at the end, the real inspector shows up.

In a provincial town on the Volga River, the young and sensitive Katerina marries Tikhon, a violent drunkard, and thus enters the crude milieu of greedy salesmen, the "dark kingdom". Her mother-in-law, Kabanikha, rules the family with an iron fist and endlessly harasses Katerina. One day, when Tikhon is away, she meets Boris, a man who embodies everything Katerina is longing for.

This, the first Soviet depiction of Peter the Great, set the stage for what would become the post-Revolutionary line concerning the early Romanovs. Rulers like Ivan the Terrible and Peter the Great were widely admired for their dedication to Russia and their absolute determination to enhance her position in the world. But praise for the hated later Romanovs conflicted too heavily with the very beliefs that had brought about the Revolution in 1917.
