WHAT IF

An unhappily in-love car mechanic living in a small village finds himself at a crossroads; the apparent senselessness of life saddens him, and his only friend, the local butcher, is not much help.

Anna plans to escape her stifling provincial life, but a ghostly encounter causes a delay. A poignant tale of departure, set in the Styrian countryside and with strong ties to the genre tropes of the uncanny and the grotesque.

The freely adapted short story, written by the famous author HP Lovecraft, will reveal dreadfully poetic images to the viewer and give insight into a man's struggle for survival and his fight against the loss of memory. His spectacular escape from human creatures that live in the woods,who have lost all humanity and turned into animals, leads him directly to a mysterious house whose owner will very soon confront him with his mad rage. The subtle dialogues between the two of them, will end in a carnage. At full tilt, the kinkiness of H.P Lovecraft's short story transforms into the transparent struggle of survival of a man who has lost everything in this post-apocalyptic world, a world that slowly wipes him out.

Richard, a young man who leads a fairly ordinary village life, takes care of his grandfather and a sausage stand at the sports field. Within just one evening, his life becomes unhinged, and he finds out that within every ending is a beginning.

A woman ends up stranded at a gas station one night, where the manager and his friends are having a beer. It seems she didn't show up by chance, and a crazy night unfolds.
