Two executives leave for a sailboat trip with two prostitutes. They end up mysteriously disappearing. Everything indicates that it was a crime. Meanwhile, a documentary filmmaker is making a film about the life of prostitutes. She meets Viviane, sister of one of the missing girls. Together they go in search of the truth.

Anauê! is the result of years of research and archival work conducted across cities in the Itajaí Valley and Itapocu Valley, a region with a strong German immigrant heritage. The film explores the rise and influence of the Brazilian Integralist and Nazi movements in the state of Santa Catarina before, during, and after the Second World War.
