Natan El Profeta: Legend

Documentary about Argentina's last military dictatorship and the legacy of one of the most brutal waves of repression, death and horror in Latin American history. Numerous people—historians, musicians, journalists, children of the desaparecidos (the disappeared) and others—talk candidly about how difficult it has been to uncover information about the whereabouts of the 30,000 missing men and women who were kidnapped and presumed murdered by the military. The intensely personal stories about missing relatives and the scope of the military junta's repressive policies also explain why, even now, many people resist coming to terms with Argentina's bloody past.

Eloísa is an elderly woman and a widow who runs a children's soup kitchen with her friend. Juan, his grandson, lacks the presence of his parents, uses cocaine, steals money from his family, his sister suffers from eating disorders and became obsessed with his neighbor across the street, Inés, whom he harasses on the phone.

María de los Ángeles (Marita) Verón lived in Tucumán, Argentina. She came from a middle class family, she was another girl in the Tucuman society. On April 3, 2002, she was abducted in the corner of her house. Three days after disappearing, Marita was seen at 30 km with high heels, she staggered like a drugged woman. A prostitute told that she passed through the hands of a pimp. Since then, it does not appear.

Different voices reflect the complex confrontation between the national government and agricultural producers, which occurred in 2008 following Resolution 125 that imposed export taxes on soybeans.
