Travesti Opening

A collaborative video project made with women living in Taiwan who use their cameras to process stress and stigma, and to share their experiences living with HIV. Commissioned by Visual AIDS in 2021 as part of ENDURING CARE, a program of seven new videos highlighting strategies of community care within the ongoing HIV epidemic.

A musical dream, a video love letter recorded all in VHS, an experimental travel diary which uses cut ups of love songs on the Radio in Taiwan, a portrait about bodies, water, light and memory, and the organic colors and sensorial possibilities of the surreal landscapes in Taiwan. Queer intimacy

A do it in collective punk musical movie of sapphic/trans rebellion in which a troubled, young, non-binary Taiwanese named T, is in the grip of a heroin addiction. T meets Shui, a betel nut seller and daughter of a famous Taoist exorcist who wants to perform an exorcism on his daughter. They eventually encounter a character called Big Sister 13, and in a web of desires, neon lights, and songs, together they will fight against the destructive presence of addiction, a sinister creature, and a pro-family terrorist group. They will learn how to care for one another, exorcizing a haunted past and flowing into the immensity of love.

In a dystopian future, exiled Kung Fu master Big Sister 13 leads a gang of trans and queer fighters who reclaim a forgotten zone and transform it into the Martial Forest—a secret training ground where care is as powerful as combat. Together, they fight to survive rising violence and build a future rooted in chosen family and trans resistance.
