Rest Stop

A Mexican-American public defense attorney and his poet cousin living in San Francisco suffer with depression against the threatening backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge.

In this Stephen King adapted film, our protagonist Roger Monette hasn't been to church in years, yet he finds himself sitting in a confessional booth telling the priest about a troubling series of events involving his cheating wife's $250,000 embezzlement and a mysterious hitchhiker who claims to be hearing and speech impaired.

Five interlocking stories set in San Francisco. The triumphs and tragedies of people dealing with life's difficulties and discoveries set against this beautiful city in the first quarter of the 21st Century.
