On 12 May 1978, Kate made her debut on Dutch television in a program that has gotten to be known as “De Efteling Special”. The amusement park De Efteling served as a backdrop for six songs of The Kick Inside: Moving, Wuthering Heights, Them Heavy People, Strange Phenomena, The Man With The Child In His Eyes, and The Kick Inside. On 10 May 1978, the Efteling was ready to open the Haunted Castle, the most expensive attraction it had ever constructed (designed by Ton van der Ven), and they wanted to promote it. In April a documentary featuring the Haunted Castle was made by filmmaker Rien van Wijk, who was eager to shoot in the latest attraction before it officially opened. Kate, who just had a big hit with Wuthering Heights, was approached for a television special that would promote both Efteling and her songs. This is the original broadcast of May 12, 1978. The original 16mm film is lost; this is a copy of the uMatic version that is the only version left.

The Whole Story is the first compilation album by English singer Kate Bush, it was Kate's third UK number one album. Released by EMI Records on 10 November 1986. The album included 10 hit singles, plus a "new vocal" version of debut hit Wuthering Heights and one new track, Experiment IV. The compilation was released on VHS video and Laserdisc, containing the videos for all the tracks, plus one bonus video: The Big Sky.

A documentary from about Kate Bush's live tour in 1979. Two versions of the documentary were produced: one with a German voice-over during the interviews with Kate Bush, broadcast on 17 May 1980 by German broadcaster SWF3. A version with Dutch subtitles was shown on Dutch television on 8 March 1981 by Dutch broadcaster VARA. The live performances in this film were shot in Hamburg (Germany) on 28 April 1979, and Mannheim (Germany) on 8 May 1979. Kate is also interviewed in between the songs, as well as a rare television appearance of both her parents.
