Trem do Soul follows the timeline tracing a memorial and affective cartography of a young, black and peripheral movement that stirred hearts, bodies, minds and even uniforms in the 1970s in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro.

Discover the history of the Chic Show ball, an iconic black music party in São Paulo. The event was a milestone in the life of São Paulo. Held in halls across the city in the 1970s and 1980s, the show became a meeting point for black culture and opened up space for funk, soul, rap and pagode, among other rhythms. The party welcomed names such as Tim Maia, Sandra de Sá, Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Bebeto and Carlos Dafé, as well as international artists such as Kurtis Blow, Betty Wright and James Brown.

A tribute to Laudelina de Campos Mello, a pioneer in the fight for domestic workers' rights in Brazil. A Black activist and tireless campaigner, she founded the first domestic workers' union, facing historic challenges to improve working conditions and gain recognition for thousands of women.

Arthur Bispo do Rosario's past is practically unknown. It is only known that he was black, a sailor and a boxer. In 1938 he was admitted to Colônia Juliano Moreira after a mystical delusion.
