Knight's Treasure

Each short story plays in the same setting with 2 characters, each on their side of the glass of the visitors area from a prison that them (and also the world) divides.

After losing part of her memory, Maret, 44, sets out to find out who she used to be. She learns about the many different life paths she followed, in none of which anything was ever really achieved. A profoundly unhappy person in a never-ending, headlong rush. A doctor on the island of Lanzarote offers to put this restlessness to an end through brain surgery. A promise of peace and satisfaction. Will Maret proceed with the surgery that would take away part of her being - or not?

After ten years abroad, Catherine returns to Luxembourg, to catch up with her daughter Alba, brought up by Catherine’s mother Elisabeth. Alba is cold and distant with this stranger showing up unexpectedly in her life, so is Elisabeth, keen to keep her protégée to herself. One day, Catherine cannot take it anymore. She kidnaps Alba and takes her on a trip to a lake up North. Begins an unsettling journey into the puzzling world of motherly love, only to find out that sometimes the true opponent is yourself.

Sori dropped out after his studies and lives aimlessly in Cologne as a gallery assistant. He hides his true self from his family in Seoul. As he drifts through the city's late summer, finds solace in drawing, and memories of his military service resurface, it all comes together in a silent question about where we belong and the place we call home.
