Vasily Kutuzov, the namesake of the famous commander, ends up in a mental hospital because of his talent for making up jokes. Everyone in his family had this gift, and many suffered because of it. The authorities didn't like that the Kutuzovs were bothering people. Vasily's neighbors in the ward are all famous people who left a mark in history. So he amuses them until the doctors decide to cure him of this "disease"...

A WWII veteran, Apollon Golub, arrives in town in an old car. The car attracts the attention of teenager Valerka Elkin, which has grown into a real friendship between him, the veteran and, of course, the car.

The legend of the origin of several islands off the coast of Chukotka. The story begins with an Eskimo hunter named Kanak raising his son Tagrak with his wife, teaching him to be brave and decisive. Years later, when the boy becomes an adult, he refuses to start a family because giant eagles living nearby kidnap children and ravage the tundra and the sea. Tagrak leaves home to fight the eagles for the sake of his family's future.
