Eight love stories start and end in an amusement park. In the neon-lit amusement park, budding romances unfold, along with scenes of breakups. As the Ferris wheel slowly rotates, couples with varying moods sit inside: some on secret rendezvous, some hastily formed couples, and others; lovers with ulterior motives. This film depicts the love stories of eight couples in the amusement park.

Masaki Tezuka‘s live-action adaptation of “Rescue Wings” deviates from the original by centering around a female rookie pilot played by 16-year-old actress (only 15 at the time of filming) Yuko Takayama. After her mother is saved, Haruka Kawashima joins an elite air rescue team and decides she wants to become the first female pilot of a UH－60J (Japanese version of the Black Hawk) rescue helicopter. She goes through harsh, rigorous training and must overcome her emotions for the serious job of saving lives. After several mistakes she’s bluntly told she’s not good enough to be a rescue pilot, but the conflict only makes her more determined. One day, an F-15J fighter plane goes missing from radar and Kawashima receives the distress call. On reserve fuel and the struggling against all odds, she must accomplish her mission at any cost.

In the late Edo period, when traditional Chinese medicine (Kampo) was mainstream, a Dutch-style Western doctor, Taikichi, devoted himself to treating poor villagers. Set against the backdrop of a time when Kampo and Western medicine competed for legitimacy, this moving historical drama follows the struggles of doctors who risked everything to save lives during Japan’s medical awakening.

A burning Godzilla, on the verge of meltdown, emerges to lay siege to Hong Kong. At the same time horrifying new organisms are discovered in Japan. These crustacean-like beings are seemingly born of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed the original Godzilla.

At the turn of the 20th Century amongst tension between China and Japan, a Japanese swindler in Shanghai plans to profit by selling weapons. He steals arms from the Japanese military and sells them to the rich Chinese.

The Futurians, time-travelers from the 23rd century, arrive in Japan to warn them of the nation's destruction under Godzilla. They offer to help erase Godzilla from history by preventing his creation. With Godzilla seemingly gone, a new monster emerges as the Futurians' true intentions are revealed.

The North General Hospital in the Tondo district of Manila was as busy as a battlefield. Hideyuki Harada, an intern on duty at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, worked without having time to breathe. It was six years ago that Harada decided to become a doctor. Harada, who worked at the Manila branch of a Japanese trading company, was supposed to marry a junior at the university, Masami, when she returned to Japan, but she told her that she was married to Harada's best friend, Isomura, a sergeant at a large hospital.

A travelling group of young people running a pirate radio station from a small truck encounter an eccentric elderly couple who are on the run from the law.

The story of a young girl's first love is told from the heroine's point of view. Surrounded by various people, she finally begins to awaken to her own feelings as a woman.
