Post Lucem

Where does energy go when we leave a space? Post Lucem explores the vibration and movement of light that flows and transforms, either compacting, changing color, multiplying and creating a visual spectacle. This short film uses the stop motion technique with long exposure photographs, using the light painting method, in which brushstrokes of light are created in the air that are captured by the camera. Light represents the energy left behind by bodies and how it transmutes over time. This is an allegory to life, since in this the only constant is change, and we just have to flow and enjoy it.

The new omniscient

Alexander, an 18-year-old boy, lives misunderstood, as everyone around him is obsessed with having the approval of the Omniscient Being; an entity to whom offerings are brought and who decides to approve or disapprove them based on whether people follow social norms and stereotypes. In an attempt by Alexander to prove that the Omniscient Being is actually a farce, society forces him to be like everyone else.

Inside the fridge

Olivia is a 12-year-old girl who is very anxious. One day, when she opens her refrigerator, she finds something creepy inside. On the other hand, David, her 18-year-old brother, doesn't see anything out of the ordinary inside, so he helps her take out two eggs to make a cake. David leaves the house and Olivia begins to prepare her recipe, when she accidentally knocks over an egg and it breaks. Olivia must overcome her fear of what is inside the refrigerator in order to cook the cake she needs. This story talks about how we deal with our fears day by day and how we can't run away from them, it's better to face them.

Helio y Lirio En un Rincón de la Galaxia

Helio and Lirio are two androgynous stars who inhabit small, lonely planets. Helio, fiery and impatient, burns everything in his path, while Lirio, serene but fearful, avoids taking risks. When their planets align, they discover they were always destined to meet, but their differences threaten to separate them again.

WHAT HIDES WHITIN THE SHADOWS

During the Mexican Revolution, Reynaldo, a lonely antisocial man who lives isolated in the countryside, is tormented by a sinister creature that comes from the darkest depths of the forest. Pursued by his own past, Reynaldo, accompanied by Ramón, a young boy who is in his care, will confront the beast before it finishes them off. However, a dark and cold secret hides in the origin of the creature, because not everything is what it seems.

Scopaesthesia

Scopaesthesia, a phenomenon in which human beings are able to extrasensorily detect if they are being stared at. This short film portrays the fear of being judged by otherness and how it’s very limiting and doesn't let you be yourself. Despite this, upon realizing that this fear really comes from low self-esteem, there is a way out and a path to freedom, which is achieved with self-acceptance.
