We are in 1320, in the newly formed country we call Portugal. Isabel, the Holy Queen, is the wife of Dinis, the king, and mother of Afonso, the heir, both involved in a civil war that affects everyone.

Dealing with a series of increasingly absurd situations and relationships, recently separated yoga instructors Gustavo and Vanesa are finding it difficult to live apart. Their challenges include meddling mothers, amnesiac students, and burgeoning romances. Step by step, they find their way back to the practice.

Where the suffering prevails, the medical specialists in smiles, enliven the hope and relieve pain for patients, family members and hospital staff. The documentary follows these professionals in the art of smiling in an internal search: bring happiness for who else needs.

Something unexpected brings Vitor back to the house where he was born. His return awakes ghosts from the past and a war long ago locked within this family.
