Death Behind the Scenes

A film about the large Zaetsepin family, who work at an automobile factory. It explores the relationships between parents and children, and how the fates of the young Zaetsepins have unfolded.

Senior Lieutenant Vasily Bodrug and his wife Evgenia arrive at the border outpost after the wedding to serve. An intruder was killed while trying to cross the state border, and border guard Vaskov was injured during detention. Vasily, risking his life, detains an accomplice of the violator. But a complete surprise for the lieutenant was the arrival of his former lover Vyacheslav to his wife.

At the end of 1943, during the occupation in Odessa, a new specialist Kraft arrives at the shipyard and soon becomes a chief engineer. It never occurred to anyone that a Soviet intelligence officer was hiding under the guise of a leader showing official zeal. At the decisive moment, when the victorious offensive of the Soviet troops forces the German-Romanian invaders to leave Odessa, on the instructions of the Center, Kraft leaves with them for further work behind enemy lines.

1946, a poverty-stricken village, and a hungry winter is ahead. To their misfortune, boys find a book on black magic at an abandoned royal manor. With the help of dark forces, any wish can be granted. Now the whole village is infected with a delusional idea - to make a deal with the Devil. But what price must be paid? A price that leads to a tragic and terrible denouement.

A Soviet cargo ship carrying medical opium gets attacked by pirates of an unknown nationality. The crew is left to die on a sinking ship but they manage to escape and now must fight the pirates for survival.

In the mountains, they stand alone against whatever will happen. For the several days they live in nature, they can rely only on themselves and each other. Elsewhere, there is always a fallback - here one is without a safety. This in itself can bring some to terror - the terror of having to rely on yourself - your own judgment, wits and fortitude. This is also the most incredible feeling of strength and independence. Knowing there is no safety means having to be one's own safety.

In the ninth grade, a new one appeared. The closed guy subjugated himself to a single purpose - to decipher the mysterious letters of the disappeared Toltec tribe. Without devoting anyone except a teacher from his former school to his research, the hero dooms himself to a misunderstanding of those around him ...

The film takes place in 1944 in a Moldovan village that had just been liberated by the Soviet Army. A young teacher creates a school pioneer organization. He is opposed by the school principal, who is hiding a fascist agent. With the help of a young teacher and his students, police officers manage to neutralize the criminal.
