You Little Wild Heart

Lianna's life is a succession of domestic errands and boring faculty parties, however her heaviest cross to bear is dealing with her waning marriage to Dick. In order to find intellectual stimulus, Lianna takes a college extension child-psychology course taught by Ruth. When Lianna catches Dick having an affair with a young coed, she finds comfort and eventually true love in the arms of Ruth. However, this comes with a price as everything in her life is turned upside down.

A revealing and humorous double portrait of Catherine Murphy and Harry Roseman, whose work is found in collections ranging from the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Metropolitan Transit Authority. The film documents how their lives revolve with joyful and dizzying intensity around work, food, friends, and each other.

A dance drama work that, through movement and very little spoken text, details the interaction of several people residing at or visiting a motel or motor inn named Mountain View. The work spans a period of about 24 hours, following the individuals through late afternoon, an evening spent in the motel bar, and a picnic-style social gathering the next day. Some of the characters encountered are the family who runs the motel (a mother, her young adult son, and an older man, perhaps her father); a spunky, tomboyish girl; an interracial couple lodging at the motel; a young mother; a pair of newlyweds; a barfly; three people involved in a love triangle; and the punkish friends of the motel owner's son.

From quiet reading to lively performances, 15 members of the Rhode Island College Dance Company inhabit elegant spaces at the Providence Public Library.
