The journey of the photographer and the phenomenon of authenticity across the war-torn environment of Donbas with the aim of connecting the various actors of the conflict in their unusual and interesting stories. They are emotional micro-stories of people from both sides of the front line, which move the plot through the panorama of the country's tragedy, in which all defense mechanisms leading to the establishment of permanent peace fail. The trenches divide families, change destinies and bring depression and uncertainty.

Two rescue workers from Bratislava, Matej and Oliver, are part of a major military offensive on the city of Mosul. They are advancing through the city with the Iraqi army, liberating it from the so-called Islamic State. Their job is to save lives. However, they are constantly confronted with despair and hopelessness. This creates a contrast between people who want to get out of Iraq to safety and rescuers who voluntarily leave their families and go to help on the front line. The film is a story of the human spirit, the will to survive, and the courage to help others.
