Michael Zhvanetskij, Roman Kartsev, Leonid Barats and Rostislav Khait Victor Loshak,  Oksana Fandera, Valerij Todotovskij, Mikhail and Anatoly Kontush and many others are telling their stories and giving their opinions on what is the phenomenon of the city by the Black Sea.

In the last five years 62,000 Russian children have been abducted, taken out of the country and sold.THIS HARD-HITTING DRAMA is the remarkable story of one of these children. The lucky ones are adopted by rich families in the West. Others are sold into a life of prostitution, drugs or crime. But many are murdered so their organs can be sold on the black market, often with the collusion of the Russian police.

World War II. In autumn 1941 the German troops completely surrounded one of the biggest Russian cities — Leningrad. 2,5 million civilians got trapped in the city. The German commandment decided to destroy the city with bombings, artillery attacks and, most importantly, with hunger. The most difficult first winter of the siege (1941 — 1942). A young woman Olga is walking through the whole city to her father. She wants to see him one last time to say goodbye and to ask for his forgiveness.

A small village in the Russian campaign is inhabited only by few old women and a boy. When a family of refugees arrives they are at first opposed by the community, but eventually they'll be accepted and help revive the village.

A movie about a married couple of elderly intellectuals from St. Petersburg. About their wisdom, calmness, optimism, patience and forgiveness. That is, about everything that contemporary people lack. That is why they themselves, their warmth and their house attract those in need of warmth, help and support like fire.

At the end of the 70s, a boy Mishka, abandoned by his mother and stepfather, lives in a provincial Soviet town. Curious, bold and angry. With his bluntness and fearless naivete, he conquers the local gangster John, and with the help of his patron begins to act in local taverns, finally leaving a dysfunctional family.
