Facing the threat of a nuclear war, a young Ukrainian woman is forced to decide between safety and bodily autonomy.

The third school year begins in Ukraine under the shadow of a full-scale war. Natalia, a teacher in a seemingly peaceful Ukrainian city, is about to welcome a new class. She creates an island of safety and joy for her fifth-graders, which helps her to abstract from worries about her own son, who serves on the front line.

The liberation of her hometown of Kherson prompts Anya to return home as soon as possible, but her new boyfriend Felix tries to keep her with him in Berlin.

Is there a future without knowledge of history, culture and tradition? Dmytro, a potter and soloist of the ethno-group "Shchuka Ryba" (what literally means "pike fish"), is looking for an answer to this question, trying to introduce respect and love for tradition into the life of modern Kyiv. But the heart of the capital, Khreshchatyk, is full of oblivion and pain.
