"Fanoos Khiyal", with a brief introduction from illustration in Persian literature to mezzanine in Iranian miniatures and folk paintings, introduces the first camcorder in Iran and shows the first available films. After that, with the development of theaters in Iran, the production of movies begins. Three friends, "Farhad," "Reza," and "Ahmad," make a pact in childhood to meet each other twenty years later—in the spring of 1973. Javad finds out that Jamshid Mehrdad, Roya's fiancé, is an unemployed young man with a wife and two children. Javad arranges for Roya to marry Kamran, Roya's music teacher; But Roya hurts Javad due to a misunderstanding, and Javad continues his life in anonymity. Kamran tells Roya the truth of the incident, and the two find Javad and bring him back home.

1322 Islamic Calendar year; Iran before the constitutional revolution. People have formed a revolutionary committee to fight Khan. Cossack brigades are torturing and executing people, and Sheikh Saleh and his brother Esrafil with the help of an old man named Khajeh Isaa are prepared to fight against Khan and his steward Hollakoo.

1934. A barber is suffering from high prices and his difficult situation. He has eleven children, and his pregnant wife gives birth to twins.
