Taming of the Fire

Two great aircraft designers, Tupolev and Sikorsky, meet after many years of separation at the Paris Air Show. Once upon a time, one of them stayed in the new Russia, the other left it forever. Different destinies, different paths to the same goal, the conquest of the sky.

An endemic fever arose in the large Siberian construction area. Four scientists involved in the development of a vaccine against this disease, and whose laboratory was threatened with closure, are sent to the center of the outbreak. They manage to find the cause of the infection and create a vaccine.

The plot is based on the story of the complex relationship between Peter Schmidt and Zinaida Rizberg, with whom he corresponded after a chance meeting on the train.

On the eve of departure to the Siberian shock construction site, the famous builder Stepan Bobkov is left by his wife. However, on the train he meets Annushka, a young concrete worker who also travels to Siberia on a Komsomol ticket. Sympathy arises between the heroes, which is also reinforced by the coincidence of the so-called “production interests”.

Making another operation, Professor Krymov did not even guess what place this patient would occupy in his life. After some time, they will meet by chance in Yalta and realize that they are very necessary to each other. Only their attitude to love is completely different ...

After release from jail Andrey tries to start a new honest life but not everything is going as planned.

Set in the Soviet scientific community, the story follows two dedicated physicists whose close friendship unfolds amid dangerous nuclear research, shaped by their shared affection for a strong-willed woman. Radiation exposure, scientific ambition, and romantic rivalries intersect as the characters confront the physical risks of their work and the personal consequences of their choices.
