Der Hund von Baskerville - 5 Teil: Dr. Macdonalds Sanatorium

In this early version the classic "Hound of the Baskervilles" mystery is not faithfully adapted, Watson's character is absent and there are two Holmes. Holmes' foe is called Stapleton and he menaces Holmes' client Lord Henry and his fiancée, Laura Lyons, masquerading himself as Holmes. Hidden passages, hand bombs and mechanical devices abound, reminding more of a serial than of a Conan Doyle story.

A tale of cheating in both love and business.

A man receives a brand new £100 note from the bank. He gives one of these notes to a friend from the Royal Club. He jokingly says, "You won't be seeing that again any time soon". A wager is born, because Gardefeu bets that he can find the same note again within three months, no matter which way it travels around the world.

A French Foreign Legion commander is told to assemble a unit and capture an Algerian rebel leader. He gathers in his old unit, most of whom are no longer in top form. One is having nightmares of past indiscretions, another is now drinking, another has lost his nerve. He takes them in captures the leader, but then is unable to make it to the pick up. He encounters a rebel patrol and is trapped unless they can escape before their water runs out.
