Notes from a Sea Voyage

The corpse of a young man shows up at the shores of Atalante marking the return of Isidore to the territory of the living. But coming back from the dead is a delicate affair. As he follows the traces of his past lives in search of lost memories and the promise of a story, Isidore finds himself caught in a deceitful web of narratives within narratives, a world of Time Travelers and Doppelgängers, Picture Eaters and Textile Merchants, Phantom Friends and Phantom Lovers.

Two strangers who live in the same apartment building find themselves thrown together for a night.

Somewhere on the mainland, the tenants of a building rise hesitantly from their sleep. From afar arrives the ghostly promise of a secret passage to the sea.
