Yeong-su and Jeong-ah experience many problems as their budding romance defies the strict rules of the co-ed highschool they attend. After graduation when it looks like they can be free to live their own lives, Yeong-su joins the military and their relationship will never be the same.

Eun-ah is distressed when her volleyball coach asks her mother to marry him.

Ji-yeong has a biking accident and is aided by a boy who is practicing to become an Olympic marathon runner. The young man falls ill during a practice and is forced to give up his dream due to a previously undiagnosed heart disease. Ji-yeong wants to help him, but her parents don't allow it, so she steals a camera to pawn for the money for the boy's hospital bill.

Yeong-su learns that Jeong-ah, a woman he thought dead, is alive and well but her parents will not allow him to see her because she is engaged to be married. One day, Ki-yeon finds out that she is having a child of lightning. Lightning coolly shakes off Gi-yeon's hand, begging for her to live with her.

Seung-Hye (female), who has her dream to become a good singer, comes to Seoul and becomes acquainted with Mr. Lee, a bandmaster. Mr. Lee gives her a recommendation letter to introduce her to SeonWoo Kang, a composer. At that time, he intends to retire from pop song world owing to his incurable disease. She is helped by him, and he is also attracted by her beautiful voice to let her become a top class singer. Both love each other. He expedites his death owing to overwork, and finally dies at a hospital in the evening when her recital is held.

Do-hee crashes her motorcycle and ends up in a hospital, where she meets Seon-a—an in-patient battling a rare, incurable bone cancer. They form a tender friendship. Do-hee, moved by Seon-a’s spirit, joins a university mountaineering club and climbs Seorak Mountain, praying for her recovery. Seon-a’s parents care deeply, but her condition continues to worsen.
