A political thriller about PvdA-frontman Frits Aalbers who gets involved with a mysterious murder in a hotel. To make sure his political career will not be damaged - an important coalition is at stake - the master politician tries to hide the truth no matter the cost. The ambitious young journalist Barbara van Dalen is trying to get a scoop on the impeding coalition, but accidentally stumbles upon the trail of the murder.

Doodslag (Dutch for "Manslaughter") is the story of Max, a paramedic who is repeatedly hindered in performing his duties by loutish behaviour. As his ambulance hurries towards a complicated childbirth, some youths prevent Max from reaching the distressed woman in labour. Spurred on by the emergency and the incendiary words of a TV pundit, he reaches a boiling point and forcefully hits one of the men obstructing his ambulance. Max's strike has far-reaching, unintended consequences.

The Gringo family just wants to enjoy a cozy vacation at home, but their plans collapse when their apartment building undergoes renovations. They're forced to temporarily relocate to the strange and infamous German District. While the rest of the family worries about having to adjust all over again, Erik secretly hatches a plan to still go on a sunny holiday. But his scheme backfires, landing him in a chaotic quarrel - and a hefty fine. To pay it off, he must work at a bustling bazaar full of quirky characters who keep finding new tricks to make him stay longer. The Gringo's will have to pull out all the stops, forge unlikely friendships, and come up with one outrageous master plan to break free - and finally enjoy their well-deserved trip to the sun.
