This story, told on behalf of Katya Nikitina, is about how in Yekaterinburg in 2012 the authorities once again tried to close the City Without Drugs Foundation, and several criminal cases were initiated against its creator Yevgeny Roizman and like-minded people. At that time, there were about forty drug-addicted girls in the Foundation, among whom was Katya. Eight of them are still alive...

At the end of the 70s, a boy Mishka, abandoned by his mother and stepfather, lives in a provincial Soviet town. Curious, bold and angry. And a miracle happened: a semi-literate guy, who did not even graduate from school, almost single-handedly built a huge wooden church according to all the canons of ancient Russian architecture! That’s how the former convict became hieromonk Gerontius. Having led a team of the similar poor fellows, he began to restore ancient monasteries - monuments of architecture. But when a misfortune happened to Father Gerontius, the official church cruelly “thanked” him for his talent and selfless devotion.

The Pomors are the descendants of the ancient Novgorodians who left the power of the Moscow prince for the harsh forests of the Tersky coast in order to preserve their former freemen. Today they fish, farm and even plant forests. They will not exchange their harsh, difficult, but free life for any other.

Since then, Hieromonk Gerontius has built two wooden monasteries of rare beauty and several amazing wooden temples. And most importantly, he brought dozens of ex-cons to God. The author of the film tries to answer the question "how is this possible?", revealing the character of the hero.

20 years after Mironov's departure, his wife, actress Larisa Golubkina and his closest friends, for the first time with their participation, will reveal little-known pages of his theatrical and private life.
