Through a magical coincidence, the ambitious career woman Rebecca and the lively musical actress Maja switch bodies and have to find their way in each other's lives. What begins as a strange dilemma soon teaches them important life lessons.

Kurt's life is dominated by caring for his depressed wife. The highlight of his day is that he meets a young woman jogging every morning, for whom he always waits in the same place at the same time. Over time, both Kurt's wife and the kiosk owner realize that he is stalking the blonde beauty every day.

Preparations for the "100 years of Lünen police station" anniversary celebration are in full swing, an event set to conclude with a tribute to outstanding investigative work. An honor the team surrounding Brandt and Wiesel might be worthy of considering their latest case: bar owner Robin Bürger has been found dead in his cooling chamber. The investigation proves to be increasingly complicated as everyone affiliated with it either tries to hide the truth or plot against one another. Soon, Brandt and Wiesel are certain that all of them are two-faced. How right they are with that assumption and how deeply the case will come to affect their own lives are the questions at the heart of this 5th "wieselflink and brandtgefährlich" film.

Brandt is not at all pleased that Wiesel has been honored for his police work. As a silly argument breaks out between the two investigators, Köster and Seidenpfennig take over. Because a new case requires the utmost professionalism: The universally unpopular Volker Pinkwardt lies dead in his apartment with a head wound. A tragic accident or murder? More and more suspects and questions emerge. And then there's the question of why Wiesel has been behaving so strangely lately, regardless of his quarrel with Brandt?
