El viaje de abril

An adaptation of two short stories by Passos Coelho, essentially shot in a valley that is a territory threatened by floods, the film is a cinematographic chronicle of the rural worker in the area of Montemor-o-Velho.

Morasseix, a village hidden away in the remote depths of the French countryside, presents a gallery of astonishing portraits, characters by turn violent, absurd, occasionally touching in their innocence. “All of them cracked”, according to Lili, the hairdresser’s daughter, who dreams of leaving for America.César, however, has no desire to leave. He’s greedy for life, a jovial fellow. He loves the locals. Loves them so much that he happily pushes them around, provoking them for the sake of it. To him, despite their individual quirks, they all lack a sense of insolence. Particularly his friend Twelve, named for the calibre of his shotgun.

The story of the relatives of the 649 Argentine fallen in the Malvinas War, who as soon as the military conflict ended, found themselves alone with their pain and prevented from approaching the grave of their loved ones, either because their bodies were left in the Cemetery of Darwin, in the Malvinas, or because they disappeared without being identified.

"Inspector Max" is a Portuguese television series created by Virgílio Castelo e Produções Fictícias and broadcast on TVI. Max, Jorge and Sérgio, Jorge's best friend, constitute the victorious trio. A series based on mystery and case solving.

Biography of Cardinal Tarancón, a key figure during the Transition period due to his efforts to reconcile the "two Spains." The assassination of Luis Carrero Blanco by ETA on December 20, 1973, prompted the cardinal to leave Madrid after receiving death threats. Once far from the city, Tarancón recalls what his life was like as a young priest on the run during the Civil War (1936-1939).

This film weaves out of reality and fantasy and present day to the past through flashbacks from it's very beginning that the viewer is playing catchup to a film that never really gets off the ground. This is the story of Olmo whose mother left his father when he was young and is brought up to believe she is dead. The father and son live under an Argentine dictatorship and live in a warehouse spending their days cataloging and archiving anything and everything from toys to chairs and a vast collection of subversive propaganda. After the father's sudden death, Olmo sets off in the real world with the help of a young woman he has met to Galicia, Spain clutching a postcard that his mother had sent from there many years before.

On April 25, 1974, a man walked alone in Largo do Carmo. He knocked on the GNR military barracks door and entered, unarmed and without any escorts. Inside, the Government’s chief, Marcelo Caetano, waited, surrounded by the military and the people. The man who stared at him that afternoon and demanded surrender, guaranteeing his safety, had just led Santarém’s Artillery 1 regiment in taking the capital. Without firing a single shot, he managed to overthrow a regime that was over 48 years old. That was the last step to take and he took it, without hesitation, becoming the unavoidable figure of the day that marked the beginning of democracy in Portugal

Based on the events which took place the night of April 24th, 1999 in Portugal. This is the story of the Coup d'État which put an end to the Dictatorship and reinstated the Democracy.
