April 21, 2002, Jean-Marie Le Pen has reached the second round of the presidential election. France is in shock. But Enzo, the son of an Italian immigrant, is happy: he'll be able to get closer to Emilie, the girl from high school with whom he's genuinely in love. She's an active member of the Front National and needs someone to help her campaign.

Father Cyril Nouvel has mysteriously disappeared. Yet it is at his initiative that his brother, Gendarme Louis Nouvel, and his mentor, Abbé Gomis, find themselves gathered at the site of an abandoned old fort. As they set out to search for him in this vast and oppressive place, tension rises between the two men. Even if they cannot admit it to themselves, each knows deep down that he holds a part of the truth.

Pierre and Hélène are separating and empty their flat, with a helping hand from their friends. But whilst some are breaking up, others are falling in love.

During a birthday celebration, four women who were all friends when they were in high school, but who had since lost touch with each other, meet up again. They are now thirty years old and have taken different paths in life. But perhaps high school isn't so far away.
