In his provocative new work of existential science fiction, Emre Busse invites his audience to question the meaning of “the gaze” as part of the post-human experience by replacing the eyes on the face with the orifice. This jarring visual and switch from the literal to the metaphorical leaves the protagonist to redefine his own human desires while reinventing his new self. In this new, surreal world of customizing sexual desires, one is left to question why they have been programmed to accept the bare minimum of their deepest desires in the first place!

While COVID-19 times pushed us to redefine relationships and desires, Salty Chéri and Manon Praline decided to play consciously with the power dynamics between filmmaker and performer: Salty set up three blind dates for Manon. Being uninformed about her partners or what would happen, she had to let go of expectations.

The protagonist chooses three cards in a tarot reading. Gradually, each card becomes an animation that leads to a new vignette of the movie and a new journey of self-discovery to explore.

Parallel to REIKO’s trajectory is that of an infected city where we are made aware of the reckless schemes of the biotech enterprise, GENOM Co.

In the work author and director Martin Willibald Meisl deals with his memories and tries to explore his motivations. - When did the tendency towards self-destructive behavior arise and which ones can be seen? For that, he works with reenactments of artworks such as photos by Joel-Peter Witkin or Michaelangelo’s Pietá. A look at the later consequences of the decision is given. Discrimination, side effects of the therapy, and feelings towards the fresh infection. There is a clear change in his sexuality, and new positions taken.

Jamal Phoenix lets Sir Malice take the lead as he is bound. Having never been suspended, Jamal's anticipation and slight sense of fear are palpable. You never know how the world will feel when you release control. Every tie, every knot, every wrapping of the rope pushes Jamal deeper into submission. Sir Malice expertly weaves a web that supports and Jamal in a nest of security. As the pressure peaks, Jamal's body starts to lift off the ground. Weight, becomes weightless and pain gives way to pleasure.
