Ten years after the tragic death of her parents in a mining disaster, Marianne returns to her hometown. She returns to GOLD, the rock band formed by her childhood friends, Kristoff and Kevin, who is the only survivor of the mining collapse. For GOLD's short-lived trio, commemorative week will slowly drag them into shocking and confusing areas.

Adam is a 15-year-old teenager who has the strange peculiarity of having a body that changes, depending on the teasing and negative comments he receives from those around him. The accumulation of his physical changes just adds a layer to his already complex life.

Two sisters who had been adopted internationally explore and compare their respective pasts for the first time. Their candid discussion reveals both an ambivalence toward their abandonment and the strength of their sisterly bond. By transforming their personal archives into a collage inspired by origami, Fanny Lord-Bourcier fills in the blurry areas of their shared history.

Tom is the son of Nathalie, a loving drug-addicted bipolar mother; the brother of Caroline, an escort who would like to go back to school; and the grandson of Madeleine, the grandmother tired of taking care of everyone. Petit Tom is a film about life and childhood in the setting of chaos, flowing time, family heritage, and motherly love.

As a surgeon’s daughter, she once roamed the hospital with wonder. Returning as a patient in adulthood, she encounters a medical system where machine precision has displaced the human touch. Using charcoal and paint on glass, filmmaker Carine Khalifé tells a personal story using art as a vehicle for memory, resistance and a quest for meaning.

This short film is inspired by a stormy same-sex relationship in the Manawan community of the Atikamekw Nation, which led to a suicide. Since 2004, Wapikoni Mobile has been giving Indigenous youth the opportunity to speak out using video and music. This short film was made with the guidance of the traveling Wapikoni Mobile studios and is part of the 2007 Selection—Wapikoni Mobile DVD.

At a cottage with his family, an elderly man gets away to smoke a cigarette. Staring into the current, memories come back to him and he remembers being in the exact same spot with a girl when he was thirteen years old.
