Bouslam leaves his rural home and travels to the city in search of work, relying on his brother Mehdi, who lives there with his wife Sofia. His transition to urban life proves difficult as his rural background and straightforward personality cause problems with potential employers. After several unsuccessful attempts to find work, Mehdi introduces him to Haj Hussein, a wealthy businessman who owns several factories. Haj Hussein offers Bouslam a job and provides him with a small house, giving him a chance to start a new life in the city. As Bouslam tries to adapt to his new surroundings, he encounters a series of situations that challenge his understanding of urban life.
